Community Plan Update

Background

The City of Los Angeles is currently working on amending the Community Plans that define the character of our neighborhoods. The zoning decisions the City makes will affect the character of our community for many years to come.

Under consideration are many crucial choices about our neighborhoods, including revisions to residential density, protection of open space, and enhancement of our commercial corridors.

For the past two years, the City has been holding workshops and open houses to begin soliciting and considering community input. They recently unveiled draft concept plans and are now taking feedback until October 15th, 2020.

It is important to note that the process is long, and many steps are still to come before any plans are finalized. We encourage you to stay engaged throughout so your voice is heard.
