Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI), a design and community development nonprofit, received a grant from the Baldwin Hills Conservancy to lead Garden Del Rey, an 18-month community greening project focused on the neighborhood around Mar Vista Gardens. The plan would include opportunities for greening alleys, streets, paths and other public spaces, as well as improving public access to the Ballona Creek Bike Path and surrounding park amenities.
