Desde ese tiempo empecé a involucrarme en las necesidades de la comunidad. Me gusta ayudar a las personas en general, participar en todo lo que sea necesario en beneficio de la comunidad,
Me encanta la Naturaleza, participó en los jardines Comunitarios y me gustaría que hubiera muchos más jardines y áreas más verdes.
Disfruto con mi Familia las caminatas al aire libre. Disfruto el enseñar e inculcar a los niños y jóvenes la importancia de sembrar, tener áreas verdes, comer saludablemente y orgánico.
Me encanta convivir con las personas de la tercera edad y ayudarlas en lo que ellos necesitan.

My name is Maria del Carmen Sánchez Martinez. I am 53 years old and I arrived at Mar Vista Gardens in 2008. I am a single mother with 5 children. I work with older people, helping them in their homes and at work selling corn and tamales.
Since I came to the area, I began to get involved in the needs of the community. I like to help people in general and participate in everything that is necessary for the benefit of the community. I also love nature. I participated in the Community Gardens and I wish there were many more gardens and greener areas.
I enjoy outdoor walks with my family. I also enjoy teaching and instilling in children and young people the importance of planting, having green areas, eating healthy and organic. I love living and working with the elderly and helping them with what they need.
