Other Ways to Help

The best way you can help is to heed the warnings of health officials.  If you are looking to lend a hand, here are ways that you can:

MUTUAL AID NETWORK

Join this grassroots effort that provides assistance to our neighbors:  https://www.westsidefriends.com/

SCHOOL MEAL ASSISTANCE

Our very own Marina Del Rey Middle School on Braddock Dr is one of LAUSD’s Grab & Go Food Centers. LAUSD partnered with the American Red Cross to support these operations. To sign up to volunteer at a Los Angeles Unified meal distribution center, please visit: redcross.org/la-covid

VENICE COMMUNITY HOUSING

One of the larger supportive housing groups in our area, VCH, is in need of food, cleaning supplies & donations to make up for a loss of services:

BLOOD DRIVE

ARC is also asking for blood donors to come forward, as there’s been a steep drop off this week

HOMELESS ASSISTANCE

St Joseph’s Center and Safe Place For Youth are more important than ever in serving those in need. They have modified their services but are remaining engaged and active. Links to help below:
