Budget
& Finance Committee
The Budget & Finance
Committee meets
quarterly (3rd Thursday of February, May, August and
November) to review the DRNC budget and expenditures and
make recommendations to the General Board regarding the
status of funding and the individual projects undertaken
by the Neighborhood Council

Community Affairs
Committees
The Community Affairs
Committees meets
monthly on the 1st Thursday of the month to discuss
issues relevant to the well being of the stakeholders of
Del Rey. The various Community Affairs committees deal
with issues important to the neighborhood including
Events, Outreach, Public Safety, Public Works and
Seniors. The Events committee is responsible for
planning and organizing all community activities and
events for Del Rey, including the annual Del Rey Day,
held on the first Saturday of October. The Outreach
committee is responsible for publishing the quarterly
newsletter, corresponding with the public and increasing
the public participation within the Del Rey Neighborhood
Council. The Public Safety committee has the charge of
engaging and assisting the City of Los Angeles Police
and Fire Departments in keeping the safety of all Del
Rey residents and business. The other committees are
also being formed to deal with specific Community Issues
in Del Rey.

Planning &
Transportation
The Planning & Transportation (PTC)
Committees meets
monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month (except in
November and December when it is on the 3rd Tuesday) to
engage the public and private sectors on the planning,
building, housing and transportation plans for Del Rey.
The two committees meet jointly to review and discuss
proposed developments and infrastructure projects that
effect Del Rey. The Committees shall also be examining
the master planning of each area to discuss what the
community feels is the best vision for the Del Rey
neighborhood. The PTC has also created the Parks
sub-committee to work closely with the Del Rey Park Task
Force to study the proposal of a dog park for Del Rey,
and to bring much needed recreational facilities and a
new park to the Del Rey Neighborhood.

Rules, Ethics &
Elections
The Rules, Ethics
& Elections (REE) Committee meets quarterly (3rd Thursday of March,
June, September and December) to develop the standing
rules for elections, review the DRNC bylaws and advise
on ethical matters. The REE shall make recommendations
to the General Board regarding any revisions necessary
to the same.
